Yeah, I figured there would be something about witnessing sorrow or something like that, but now that I've looked, I guess not.

I may have to rethink my concept a little.

I'm not completely finished with my character, yet, but I'm getting close. Figured I'd post his skills as they stand now so you get an idea of what I'll be doing.

Right now my skills are:
Sing B2, Song of Arbors B2, Observation, B3, Forest-wise B3, Tree-wise B3, Stealthy B3, Bow B3, Rhyme of the Pathfinder B3, Song of Soothing B4, Threne of the Chameleon B3, Spear B3, Song of Paths and Ways B3.

I have one more general skill point to spend. I figure I'll use it to open one more skill, maybe another wise. I've got a 6 in Perception and Agility, so anything with those as a root would be best.

I haven't worked out my beliefs, but I'm definitely going to have one about healing people. I don't know how I'll word it exactly, though. For a belief specifically for this module I'll have something about goblins, I'm sure; how goblins are all evil, blah blah blah, should be wiped out, blah blah blah.

Just thought I'd give you an idea of where I'm going to help with any tailoring you need to do to the module.

How about something like Herbalism, to use as a FoRK with your Song of Soothing?

Yeah, I was thinking something like that, actually. And it's better than just putting another point into the Song, because Herbalism can be used for other things.

Ok, I think I'm done. Pretty much the same character I posted before. Just changed the beliefs slightly to match the new setting and dropped my ride down a point to add in lance.

Concept: A naïve but well intentioned aspiring knight seeking to restore his family’s greatness
Character Name: Pallyn
Stock: Human
Lifepaths: Born Noble, Page, Squire
Age: 20

PTGS: Su:3 Li:5 Mi:7 Se:9 Tr:10 Mo:11
Skills: Riding 2, Lance 2, Sword 5, Brawling 3, Etiquette 3, Armor Training, Knife 4, Mounted Combat, Shield Training, Oratory 3.
Gear: Clothes, Shoes, Travel Gear, Superior Sword, Superior Knife, Superior Lance, RotM Chain & Shield, Warhorse
Traits: Mark of Privilege, Charismatic
Relationships: no
Affiliations: Nobility 1d
Reputations: no
Beliefs:
-I will hone my skills and restore my family to greatness.
-I will become a knight through loyal service to the king and church.
-I will lift the curse that haunts Baron Kadal and my family.
Instincts:
- If there is trouble, my father’s sword is in my hand.
- I draw my knife in a close quarters fight.
- Always defend those weaker then I, women and children first.
Background:
Pallyn was born into nobility. His father had been a knight who was killed in battle. After his father’s death his family fell upon hard times. He trained under a lord to become a knight, but left his family after failing in a joust against a rival family. He dreams of gaining fortune and fame and one day returning to them a full knight. He has long felt his family’s misfortunes were caused by external forces, and hopes Baron’s Kadal’s secrets will help him restore his family’s greatness. He carries his father’s weapons and believes they are of extraordinary quality and will help him succeed in his quest.

Cool! 1 Persona to Pat's Pallyn.

One thing you might want to look at is this: if you ever have to command your mount to do something unusual (like a charge or other martial action) you're going to have to beat his Will (which is typically exponent 2) with a Ride check.

Ah, but when I had the points in Ride versus Lance you pointed out a knight needs his lance.

But I seem him riding a lot more than I do lancing - and not having any points in lance helps explain a lot about why he lost his joust so miserably.

Anyway, I'm going back to Riding 3 with no points in Lance. Yes Regis, that is my final answer.

God I love character generation, agonizing over every detail :D

You could drop a point from his Sword b5, unless you see him as being an expert swordsman. A b5 is like being one of the best in the entire kingdom. Totally up to you, of course!

yeah, I hear you on the sword, but I had a b5 with my last character and he couldn't hit the side of a barn (or at least he couldn't penetrate the barn's armor).

I'll keep reflecting on it, but I think I'm going to leave it as is.

Okay, I've been agonizing over a few details, but I finally have a character I think I can be happy with. I still have an instinct to fill in, but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Concept: Optimistic Elven healer
Character Name: Erolith
Stock: Elf
Lifepaths: Born Wilder Elf, Forester, (l-protector) Ranger
Age: 156
Stats: Pe:6 Wi:5 Ag:6 Sp:4 Po:3 Fo:4
Attributes: Health: 6, St: 7, Re: 5, MW: 9, Hesitation: 5, Resources: 0, Circles: B2, Grief: B6
PTGS: Su:3 Li:5 Mi:6 Se:7 Tr:8 Mo:9
Skills: Sing B2, Song of Arbors B2, Observation B3, Forest-wise B3, Tree-wise B3, Stealthy B3, Bow B3, Rhyme of the Pathfinder B3, Song of Soothing B4, Threne of the Chameleon B3, Spear B3, Song of Paths and Ways B3, Herbalism B3
Gear: Elven Clothes, Shoes, Travel Gear, RotM Bow, RotM Spear, RotM Plated Leather Armor
Traits: Stern (ct), Driven (c-o)*
Relationships: Uncle Neldor, Elven Artisan
Affiliations: none
Reputations: none
Beliefs:
- There is too much suffering in the world; I will do my part to ease that suffering.
- Too long have Elves stayed hidden and shunned outsiders; I will show the what true compassion Elves are capable of.
- Goblins are a blight on the Earth; I must investigate the rumors of Goblin activity around Wildsgate
Instincts:
- Always keep a supply of useful herbs with me.
- When outside city limits, keep an arrow nocked.
- TBA
Background:
Erolith grew up on the outskirts of an Elven city. He spent most of his life learning his away around the forest. One day he decided he was fed up with all the stories of the xenophobic nature of elves. Erolith decided he needed to learn the skills necessary to travel throughout the world and to be able to defend himself and show other races compassion.

* Driven is a call-on for a trait dealing directly with a character's beliefs, to be chosen at creation. In this case, I'm choosing to have it act as a call-on for my Song of Soothing (based on my first belief).

Cool character, Jeremiah! He'll be starting with one Fate Point, by the way.

Thanks for 'turning him in.'

Can he actually use his Spell Songs? Some of those things have some pretty high Obs.

Steven and Frank: We're starting this game on 4/19. I'd really really really really really (really) like to see your characters very soon. I'd even call it urgent. Please?
